Cream, Black and Animal Print In a Country Lane

A public holiday Monday seemed just right for a drive in the country and maybe take some blog photos along the way. Setting out from home the sun was shining but this was not to last and soon the rain was falling. We changed our route to head toward home and then fortunately the rain cleared and we happened upon this stone wall and entrance lane to a property named Logan.

The long drive was edged with the most magnificent oak trees , still shedding their Autumn leaves.
I am guessing the oak trees have stood there for many years as most of the rural properties in this area date from the early to mid 1800's.

John and I have had a couple of busy days traveling to Hobart to help our son, Zac and his wife, Sarah move into their new home near the beach.
It is a special time in our family as Zac and Sarah are expecting their first baby later in the year.

I must admit to being rather excited about becoming a grandmother for the first time and the joy of meeting a new little person.

Today's outfit for a drive in the country consists of a black Paula Ryan knit teamed with black Nicola Waite pants , topped with a vintage rabbit fur vest that I really bought for its lucite clasp but as it is so warm and snuggly   it will have many outings as Winter sets in.
The finishing touches are red, black and leopard brogues from Diego and Juliette , purchased on sale at the end of last Winter, favourite leopard print and black leather gloves, an animal print vintage beret purchased online through Ruby Lane , a while ago when our dollar had a more favourable exchange rate, clip on earrings from a thrift shop and Preen sunnies.
