Last Tuesday ( January 21st.) was an important day in our house,
my daughter India 's 21st. birthday.

Sadly India was not physically present to celebrate with us.
Due to a brain tumour she is now dancing with the angels.
We held a special family dinner, in her honour.

India was known as the pink princess, so the table was
themed with pinks.

Pink lillies were her favourite flower, so I placed them in her
grandmother's china cups.I know she would have smiled.

A celebration cake filled with stawberries was the order of the day.

After dinner we released several hot pink balloons, I'm sure
                                   she would have been pleased.

                                 A good friend sent me this poem;

Those we love don't go away
                             They walk beside us everyday
                              Unseen, unheard, but always near
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Beautiful words and oh so true.

A sad but beautiful day of both celebration and reflection.

Gone Dotty

Decided today was a dotty day.....I have had this coat lurking in the
wardrobe for several seasons. As much as I love its spotted glory I
do have to be in the mood to give it an outing.

I used my sons tripod along with my new camera today to take these
I do have a lot to learn about the digital age.......
I also need to remember to remove my specs .

I wore my spots with black cotton wide leg pants and my favourite
Sonia  Rykiel wedges.

Linking up with Visible Monday (for the first time , hope it works )

Summer White

Wearing all white during our recent heatwave.

There is something about crisp white on a sweltering hot summer day.

Jacket : Paula Ryan
Top: Mela Purdie
Pants: OBI

I love the everything about this Jolly Venezia necklace, the shape, colour
and the way it sits on my neck.Unfortunately my photo does not show the colour,
it is a much brighter orange.

This is a closer view of the hat I'm wearing...by Australian milliner Helen Kaminski.

It was quite windy when the photos were taken so the hat if sitting quite low on my head,
normally I would place the hat further back on my head, so more of my face and hair are seen.
The joy of hats, how changing their placement makes such a difference.
I am so enjoying wearing my hats this year.

I was in Hobart, my states capital city. Views over the Derwent River.

A great day coming home with beautiful apricots, my favourite summer
fruit , a cover for my husbands kayak and my new hat.

Once again, thank you for visiting.

                           Glamour...my way....everyday...

Enjoying some summer sun on the deck , with a glimpse of my kitchen in the background.
Wearing my favourite shoes, a Sonia Rykiel wedge that I have now had for several summers.
My new Chanel sunglasses, a very naughty obsession, I guess we all have our weaknesses
and glasses both sunglasses and reading are one of mine. I was very pleased when I could
justify reading glasses , an aging plus.
Black and white resin bangle purchased some time ago. I love its interesting shape and
the different angles, fun to wear , goes with anything.

Black and white , my summer go to combination.
Shirt by Australian designer Mela Purdie, pants Paula Ryan, a New Zealand designer.

A little glamour,my way, every day.
